Large Diagrams & Painting
« on: October 26, 2004, 10:29:30 am »
It appears EA attempts to draw the entire diagram instead of only the visible portions of the diagrams.

This becomes a problem with large diagrams, to the point where loading the diagram hangs EA.

No one else having this problem?

Is this tool is only good for small web projects?.., when I attempt to import a large datamodel or code base it grinds my 3Ghz workstation to a halt.

I do experience the same thing, but I get around it by breaking large diagrams into smaller ones (the concept of submodels is supported by most of data modeling tools, thank God!)
Making this more efficient would definitely help though.
