Adding Tags

When adding new tags (Release 739) there is no possibility to write the description. Only the note field is present. So you have to
- click OK,
- select the new tag,
- enter the tag value
- and not to forget: press return.

Please add the description field above the note field!

Also I noticed that the keyboard shortcut shift+ctr+t does not work.

Noone else working with tags? Can't believe others accept the way tags are handled now. Or is there another way?

I have to admit that I was slightly dissappoinnted in the new tags handling for exactly the same reasons as you.
In addition, it is not clear as to whether the tags, descriptions, values etc added through different methods are globally, classifier, stereotype or instance specific.
IMO Sparx needs to spend a lot of effort on getting this area right as a model for EA evolution if they are going to promulgate this style through other aspects.
tag/value pair handling is a fundamental aspect of UML - as foundational as stereotypes - there should be a clear and consistent application of these aspects throughout EA.
At the moment I feel that the changed approach to tag handling leaves a lot to be desired.

We have changed this for EA 4.50 and (we hope) it will be a lot more intuitive. On creating a new tag, a dialog will pop up asking for tag name and value. The tag name field is a combobox with a pulldown list of pre-defined tags or you can invent a new name. There used to be a 255 character field size limitation for the tag value but we've got around that by allowing you to specify a memo field, in which case another dialog opens with a scrolling text window. Oh and there's no need to worry about forgetting to press return because there's OK and Cancel buttons.

Latest estimates on release date for build 740, er...  :-/ we've been doing loads of testing and there's still a few things that need fixing, beginning of next week is looking the earliest we can get the new installers up on the website (we won't make software releases on a Friday for obvious reasons).
