Project View addition
« on: December 08, 2004, 04:21:14 am »
Hi,

If I want to see what 'type' a diagram is I need to open it then click on the background to see it's 'type' at the bottom left hand side of the screen. Also the diagram needs to be opened to see if there are any elements on it.

1. Could we have selectable diagram 'type' icons (default s would be nice!) and / or the diagram type displayed (bottom left of screen or better  in the project view title line) and without having to open the diagram!!

2. Any chance of a small visual indication that there is something on the diagram (better still, the number of elements ), maybe at the end of the diagram line in the project view (selectable option of course!)

Thanks.

I would like to be able to see:
a) bookmarked elements
b) orphan elements

on the Project View.

Having a) would allow me to see marked elements without having to find a diagram that contained them.

Having b) would "encourage" team members to tidy up a diagram once they had "completed" it - I often find left-over elements and don't know without digging around whether they are of any use !

Mike,

Both these things are currently avialable through the search screen (ctl-f).
Find Orphans is achieved through the check box on the RHS at the top and Find bookmarked can be achieved by leaving the search string empty and selecting the Show marked radio buitton in the Show Bookmarked at the left.

reddog,
The diagram type is "partially" discenable from the icon - could do with some improvment for UML 2 tho.
