Navigating the generalization hierarchies
« on: June 09, 2005, 12:39:03 am »
I've enabled show inherited attributes and operations and I'm using them to validate my conceptual model.

As my repository contains all the projects and I grab classes from all over the place, it occurred to me that the following suggestion might be useful...

When the ancestor features are visible, they are grouped by the ancestor (in reverse order).  8)

I think it would be neat to be able to select the ancestor (or the ancestor feature) then double-click on it and have EA open up the respective property dialog. 8) 8)

Thoughts anyone?

I'm definitely seconding this one.  Ctl-Alt-RTN works for object-classifer why can't we have something similar for parent classifiers.  Indeed as you say, the double click (or even a feature level context menu item) would allow user control over which particular classifier they are interested in.

Actually on further thought, I'll go with the context menu as then you could choose between display of parent properties, attributes or operations.

Good one!
