Tagged Value

  Hello Guys, First sorry my bad english  

How do bind Tagged values to a specific element?
My sugestion is: When create a Tagged Value (TV)  that i have a manner to "bind" new TV to a especific element (IE: Actor, Process,All)

Any tip?

You can add any Tag to any selected element you need.

Configuration/Tagged Values lets you define some constraints for tags. See the help file for more information.

I understood, that tagged values should be binded to a specific element type, e.g. only to a Change element type. How this can be done.

The next questions comes up with the team environment. How can tagged values be promoted to a team ?

See my previous post. Tags are always bound to the selected element. Thus they are stored in the repository and you colleagues have direct access.

You can't define tags that are restricted to the element types they can be applied to, but what you can do is define stereotypes which apply tags to elements. The first place to look is the help file section on UML Profiles. Please come back with any questions.

Correction to my previous post, I've been told (thanks Simon!) that you CAN restrict the element types that tags can be applied to. Here's how:

1. Open the Tag Definitions dialog (Configuration | UML | Tagged Values)

2. Click "New" and enter a Tag Name and Description

3. Under "Detail", type the following:

Code: [Select]

AppliesTo=Class,Object;
or whichever element types you want.

4. Select an element and add a tagged value.

I'll make sure the help file gets updated
