BUG: Autosize doesn't respect contained
« on: May 29, 2006, 07:15:17 pm »
EA has the ability to handle contained objects.  For example, in the request for a Notes compartment, I mention that once I've gone through the tortuous process of creating an "embedded" note, it will move around with the containing Classifier (if I grab the classifier correctly!).

However, if you autosize the containing object, the autosize will not respect the contained, or embedded note.  I think it should since otherwise it is inconsistent!   ;)

Consistency, Consistency, Consistency! TM

Thoughts?

I never thought that autosizing of notes works very well. Probably it does not make much sense since wrapping of text is something a machine can't do without knowing the semantic. However, if space runs short, it should give the note some extension.

Wrong thread, I think Thomas.

This one is about Autosizing respecting any "contained" objects (whether they are Notes or not)
