Automation Interface and UML Profiles
« on: February 05, 2010, 04:18:19 am »
I have the following scenario:
  • I create a new Element using the AI.
  • I assign the Element just created a stereotype from a profile created previously.
  • I now want to synchronize the Element with the profile to ensure that all tagged values, shape scripts, etc. are applied to the new Element.
How would one accomplish this using the AI?

Cheers,
Fred

Repository.CustomCommand("Repository", "SynchProfile", "Profile=MyProfile;Stereotype=MyStereotype;")

Neil,

Brilliant! Just what I needed!

(But whereas the customer giveth and the customer taketh away...)

I note that this method isn't documented in the User Guide, and I suspect that there are other "custom commands" that could be issued that would render my recently-filed (and not yet issued, even) feature request redundant. When can we expect the Help & User Guide to be updated accordingly?

Cheers,
