Security of the Documentation
« on: January 08, 2007, 07:34:10 am »
Hi,

I made the process documentation in my company but my manager wants to know how we could keep this documentation in a safe place. We would'n like that any employ print this documentation or make a copy.

Anyone could give me a suggestion ?

Thank you,

MaurĂcio

Let them sign a confidentiality statement. Anything else is useless as the contents must be known to the people dealing with it. There is nothing like a "secret model".

Hello,

Thank you for your answer. I was thinking that it was possible to block the option to print HTML Documentation for example.

bye

Even if you could disable the 'Print HTML' option using Javascript and/or CSS, users would still be able to get the HTML from the browser cache - or simply copy-paste the on-screen text to Notepad and print from there.

In general, if you can see it, you can print it.
