I recall that the import/export of tagged values was potentially being added to Sparx EA. Anyone got an idea of when it might happen?

I assume you're referring to CSV import/export?

I certainly did - unless there is some other import/export of tagged values possible (without development) such as XML. Which would be equally good.

Does this mean when I do a CSV export of the model (or XMI export) that my tagged values aren't going to come along for the ride?

XMI is the recommended way to do a structured tagged value, including tagged values.

We get a lot of requirements in as spreadsheets with various fields which need populating during the design stage.

What would be good is to define a requirement with tagged values to match those fields, import them with any data supplied, complete the fields within Sparx and then when it is time to communicate with someone else (customer, bid team, etc) then export to a spreadsheet.

If I use XMI how will I convert from a spreadsheet to XMI XML (to import to Sparx) and then from Sparx to XMI XML and convert to a spreadsheet?

It would be nicer if CSV import/export included tagged values. Or there were some good XMI conversion tools.

I suggest you submit an email feature request for this. In the mean time if you email support I can pass on details on how to do a backend load via Ms Access (not something we support though).
