Attribute Feature Visibility
« on: July 07, 2009, 02:43:50 am »
Hey all,

I'd like the ability to see Attribute Tags and Attribute Constraints in diagrams. Is there a way to do this or should I chuck in a feature request?

Cheers,

I, too, would like to see this (although I'm not quite sure what the best way to represent this on the diagram would be).

There is a way to link a note to attributes http://www.sparxsystems.com/uml_tool_guide/modeling_with_uml/linkingnotestointernaldocu.html and I thought I could use this to show constraints for the attributes, but I tried it just now and it didn't show the constraints.  (I can link to an attribute but this doesn't show me the attribute's contstraints, or I can link to a constraint but this is a constraint on the class, not a constraint on an attribute of the class.)

What I have been doing up to now is writing the constraints as constraints on the class and just making the contraints compartment for the class visible.  This works fine for us as a workaround but is of course not always strictly correct.

I agree this would be a good product suggestion.
