Hosted online version
« on: April 20, 2012, 09:49:22 am »
I couldn't find any mention of it in the Forum (honestly I did search!), but surely a hosted online version of EA must be in the works?

I would happily give up a good amount of functionality for the convenience of being able to work on EA models via a browser.  For example something like this: http://www.jgraph.com/mxgraph.html being fed by an XMI file, which would be persisted by an online database.

It would enable collaboration, sharing etc. as well, which are pretty industry standard now for most other things.

Just a few weeks ago Daniel Siegl from LieberLieber posted something about EA in the Cloud on the linkedin EA user group.
I think they are working on what you are asking.

I think that the "EA on the Cloud" reffers to a SQL Azure dababase for Repository hosting, not a browser-based user interface.
