RFE: Partial image export to PNG/GIF/JPG/...
« on: August 16, 2011, 09:40:24 pm »
It would be great if the image export to PNG/GIF/JPG/WhatEver could be enhanced to export only the selected parts of a diagram. It is possible to cut&paste the selected elements e.g. to a M$ Word document. In the same manner I would like to see an export to a graphics file of only the selected elements.

Thanks,
  Gerd

Because EA is object orientated simply copy the diagram to clipboard from project browser, paste back into the project tree,
and remove all but the selected parts of the diagram.
Then use document generation of create your word document with the 'reduced' diagram, copy the diagram to the clipboard, or save the diagram as an image.

Position and Team disestablished, thanks austerity.

You can select the desired diagram objects (Ctrl + Click) and copy-paste in your target tool (Word, Paint...). Only selected items compose the image.
