Best graphical configuration

Dear all,

    Again I apologize for my bad english.

    I am trying to create best images of my diagrams but I am not getting to set the graphical options satisfactorily. The images I produce now have less quality than I produced in older versions of the EA... Someone can teach me how is the best configuration in the Tools -> Options menu to improve the quality of the images? How is the best text font to produce clearest images? I must choose Enhanced-1 or Enhanced-2 in the rederer option? I did not perceived a big difference between them... Someone can help me in this question. The images will be printed and I need the best quality I can get.

Also, if you are using a "follow me" printing solution you will be printing to a generic set of printer drivers which may not render your diagrams that well.

There's two things you can do. 

• If you have access to install a printer on your workstation find out the IP address of the printer and configure a local network printer queue with the model specific driver and optimal graphics rendering options.
• Set up a PDF printer queue with optimal rendering.  Then print the PDF.

Thank you, but the topic does not help... I have no access to the printer, the images will be send to other place and I am not the responsible for the printing... Has someone any other tips about images quality for printing?

Well, if you print you will either need the printer driver for the specific hardware or you need to create a PDF. In the latter case you can use either FreePDF or Adobe depending on the budget you have, Personally I found the FreePDF drivers always a good choice. It's unfortunately limited to A4.

You seem to have created a red herring talking about printing.  How are you saving the images? (to be sent off to be printed by someone else)

I am saving the images in PNG format. I am using the option Diagram -> Save Image to File.

The see the other tread I pasted the link to, and try changing your Scale Saved Bitmaps to setting.

Only to inform, I found a strange thing in respect to the diagrams quality . I was checking out the "On Saved Images" option to do not show the diagram frame and I perceived that if I checked in this option, the diagram quality is better, at least in terms of font readibility, but I do not understand why this happened.

I suspect that when the frame is added, the actual image is being scaled or touched in someway to make it fit.  Or it's being rendered twice and you're seeing fidelity loss.

I changed the "Scale Saved Bitmaps" to 400% and the problem appear to be solved, but the figures are larger than before...
