floating license expiration
« on: February 01, 2016, 11:52:38 pm »
Hi,

we set the Floating license expiration to 5 days.
When we look at the checked out licenses they are mentioned to expire in 1 day. ???

Is the second issue intended?
How can we know, when the license checkout expires than?

Regards

Hello Mr. Sanders,

already checked out licenses keep their lease time.
Only licenses that are checked out after your change to a longer lease time get the longer lease time.

You can easily check this by extending the lease time from e.g. 1 to 5 days using the Keystore Manager and starting a new EA session afterwards.
The license you checked out seconds ago should appear with a date/time 5 days in the future in the "Lease Expires" column.

Hello

thank you.
But the scenario is as I describe

1. increase lease time to 5 days
2. checkout
=> expiration time is 1 day

Pretty strange. Here it is working, which is unfortunately not helpful for you.

Sure you are working on the correct key store?
Stupid question, I know, but just to be sure. Maybe you have several key stores (1 productive and 1 local keystore service for testing purposes).

@BORON
Are you using file based or service based Keystore?
