Is there, is is there not, a linked document.

In the project browser there is a pretty little icon of a document.

In the notes dialogue there is a pretty little icon of a document with a red A in the lower right corner.

Neither, however actually tell you if there is an existing linked document.
(Someone might like to speculate on why the icons are different).

Now the kiss of death statement:
It would be (really) useful if it was possible to see in the project browser (and notes editor) if there really was a linked document in existence (really),

The only way as far as I can see, is if the Project Browser context menu provides you with the option to delete the said linked document (or of course you know that the absence of such an option means there isn't a linked document)

Since Sparx will not accept this as bug (works as documented, I guess) I support this as feature request.

The project browser is kind of a tight fit, so I could see the argument against adding more to it.

In the Notes field, I would suggest changing the "Linked Document" button so that the current icon is shown only if there already is a linked document, and a different one with a little star on it (like "New Package", "New Diagram", etc in the project browser) is shown if there isn't one. That's a clear indication, and fits with the existing iconography.
