Changing default diagram properties

Is there a simple way to change default diagram properties? (not by building a whole new MDG technologies to override every single diagram types...)

I'd like to have the "Disabled fully scoped object names" checked by default when people are creating new diagram in our shared repository.

Also by using templates if you want to do it on a diagram by diagram basis. Create a Templates package and put a diagram of the required type in there, setting whatever options you want. Then set the project's template package using:
Project , Settings, Project Template Package ...

I think you can only do it this way, or with an add-in. (maybe also with in a stereotyped diagram in a UML profile, but I'm not sure of that)
