Importing Glossary to EA
« on: April 07, 2016, 09:52:10 pm »
Hi all, and Geert, I have the eaexcelimporter from Geert but cannot work out how to import my glossary to the EA model. Does anyone have a simple cook book of instructions. When I run the import csv option it says it was successful but where the glossary went I have no idea. How do I assign the imported glossary information to the actual glossary property file?

Derek,

Using my ExcelImporter you
- Go to the second sheet named Glossary and fill in the details
- Open the Enterprise Architect model you want to add the glossary to
- Open the "Add-Ins" tab of the toolbar on top
- Click on the button Import Glossary

Check if the glossary terms have been added to EA.

Let me know if that works out for you.

Awesome, took me a while to understand it was nothing to do with the import facility in EA. Nice work Geert :O)

While I am here do you know how I can make the contents of the Glossary popup when I am filling in definition in the various objects in EA. A sort of suggestion word that matches to the word you are typing for example if I type Acc the Account pops up? Is this a feature in EA?

Thanks again.

I don't think that feature exists currently, but feel free to request it
