Document generation image cropping

I have been using the document generation feature for some time and it has worked ok until now.  However, I just got upgraded to Windows 10 (asking for trouble really) and now I find that the generated document diagrams are cropped and I that I don't seem to be able to adjust these to view the full image.  This happens with both existing documents scripts and new ones.

Has anyone else experienced this issue?

No, my diagram images are being scaled so they fit on the page. (I have Windows 10 as well)

I can't remember if there's a setting somewhere that controls that.

Ok, that is useful, thanks!  This tells me it might not be Windows 10 and might be configurable.

Excellent! If I change the image format option from metafile to bitmap is works fine.

I'm using metafile as well, so there must be something else.

Have you tried Options | Diagram | General | Zoom to best scale ?

Hi Geert,

Thanks for your message. Yes, this is already set and I think this option is to do with screen sizes rather than document image sizes.  Interesting though that it works for you even on metafile format.  I'll have to play with this some more. Whatever changed, it was not something I explicitly set and the only major change to my PC was W10. But now think this was only correlation rather than causation.

With the latest version of EA 1229 I have noticed the following issues with images in documentation

• images that are not the full width of a diagram page (e.g. A4 portrait) are zoomed to > 100%, making them look out of proportion. In other words I want scale down to fit when diagram is wider or longer than a page, but never to scale past 100%.
• some images are cropped, e.g. where an entity has a name that is wider than the entity shape the text is cropped, but not the entity

Hmmm, I've just tripped over this (again?) having been upgraded to W10.
Diagram zoom to best scale makes no difference whether set or reset.
Chaning from Metafile to bitmaps made the difference.
Anyone else had this experience since the original poster.
This affected both impages in generated documentation AND Published Images saved to file and clipboard.

It works for Clipboard, but not for generated documents. Is there another setting for generated documents?

I'm getting the same issue when metafile format is enabled. If I simply do a Ctrl+C on the diagram, it's cropped when pasting it in a document.

I'm running the latest build 1554.

Got this response from Dermot at Sparx Support:

This issue has been reported and logged to be corrected.

As a workaround you can use the BITMAP format rather than the .png default.

I changed from Metafile to Bitmap in the Diagram Format dropdown box and it works !!!!!
