EA13 Sweeper and 'HV Lock'

A few new menu options have appeared in V13, which don't seem to have any help - odd, as they are in the 'Helpers' bit of the 'Layout' ribbon.

• What does 'sweeper' do (and please don't say 'sweep'
• And 'HV Lock'

There is a large section on Ribbons in the Help, in the User Interface chapter. You should be able to find a description of every option you see in the Ribbons.

If I search for something in the help, and I get no search results, then I assume there is no help for that thing. Is this not true?.
Perhaps you might add some additional text into the help:
"Your search didn't produce any results. But that doesn't mean it's not there, so keep looking anyway."
"Or it might mean there really isn't any help about what you wanted. We're not telling...."

What exactly did you do?  If I go to the 'Start > Help > Help Icon > Search Help' option, and type 'Sweeper' into the text field, I get three references to the 'Using the Helpers Panel' Help topic.

There isn't a 'search list' to add the 'Sweepers' text string to. The Search facility searches the actual text of the Help, not an index, so if there is a mention of the subject in the Help the search should find it.

Don't forget, Ian, that now you have to make sure that the search case is correct...  Been caught out a number of times.

Wrong casing may not find stuff that IS there...

Up, thats right, a big fat nothing.

On the other hand, if you search sparx systems (and you alsmost cant avoid doing this as the search will not stay set on EA User guide)
you do get (and no its not case sensitive)

Is there a difference between the EA USer Guide and "within the system"?

Sorry, I think I got my EA and my Help mixed up.

What I meant was, within EA click on the Start Ribbon, Help panel, Help icon and select the Search Help option. Type in your search string. That search ought to find any occurrence of the text string in the entire Help system. I don't believe that is the same search mechanism as is behind the website search at the (very) top of the Sparx website page.

As I see it this just feeds the browser's search field. You're just talking about loosing your head.

Searching 'EA User Guide' from the website searches help for the current official release. Currently 12.1.
Searching the web help from EA or any 13.0 help page searches the help for 13.0.
Searching 'Sparx Systems' from the website currently searches both versions of the help as well as everything else.
