Enterprise Architect v13 upgrade guide
« on: August 09, 2016, 06:31:33 pm »
Hi!

Anyone know where I can find information on how to Upgrade from 12.1 to 13? We are using Cloud Services and Oracle database. Is it just the Client that needs to be upgraded?

Thanks,
Eamonn J.

Yes. This is (like in almost all cases) just touching the client side. The server side (database) has not changed much since at least the year 2003.

First... Don't upgrade. It's a beta and not recommended for production environments.

Assuming that you are either testing how the upgrade will go in your organization or that you will ignore that first point. Yes, you can just upgrade the client. There are also updates to the cloud service and an updated Oracle script that comes with new indexes. EA 12.1 and 13.0 will both work with or without those updates.
