Maybe I miss something here. The help says

Indicates whether the object's composite diagram should be displayed by default when the object is selected.
What does "selected"  mean here? Trying to change the property did not work. It's always false. Similarly ShowConstraints: what does that mean? And it does not change anything. Always false.
