EA v12.1 Repository - issue with auto numbering of requirements
« on: September 28, 2016, 07:44:14 pm »
Hej,

I'm having issues with the auto numbering of my requirements. If I work on a local package, I can apply the auto numbering for my requirements as explained in the following link:
http://sparxsystems.com/enterprise_architect_user_guide/12.1/requirements_engineering/requirements_naming_and_numbering.html

However, as soon as I start working on our department's shared repository, I can no longer select the 'requirement' type in the Auto Name Counters dialogue. Since we are rolling out the policy that all documentation must be done in the Ea repository, this poses some problems for our analysts, since they use the numbering to communicate with the Devs & business.

Does anybody have any idea on how to enable the auto numbering feature for requirements in the repository?

Thanks!

Senne

Is 'Requirements' missing in the list of types or do you see 'Requirements' but is is not selectable?
Note: the list of types is not in alphabetical order. 'Requirements' may be at an unusual place in the list.

it's missing in the list of types. The list for the repository is far smaller in comparison with the one for a local EAP.

You should contact Sparx support. The list is a drop-down and as far as I can guess, it's a hard coded lists. Is it just Requirements which is missing? Is it not accessible at all?
