UML2 import broken in 13?
« on: October 28, 2016, 07:50:23 am »
hello forum,
today I had a bad surprise: EA was unable to import my UML2  file (eclipse format).
To be sure I tried with a file that I already imported in the past: nothing happens, after that you click the import button. Can anyone confirm this?

on a separate machine I uninstalled 13, reinstalled 12.1 and tried with the same model.
No luck.
I'm quite sure that with 12.1 the XMI UML2 import was still working.
Can anyody confirm this?

Which of the formats do you use? Publish lists a dozen of them.

Hi qwerty,
I'm trying to import an Eclipse UML2 file into EA as defined here:

I'm terribly sorry, but I don't see those options. Using Corporate. The help does not indicate which edition you need or if a MDG is needed.

So if you right click on package and selct import XMI you don't see the "other XMI"? Interesting. In comparing editions sparxt http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/ea/compare-editions.html  says tha XMi import export is available starting from desktop since version 7.0

My bad. It can't export this format, only import. And I don't have a suitable source file.
