How to reference a diagram in documentation
« on: November 21, 2016, 09:05:06 pm »
Hi,
Is it possible to reference a named diagram in a text document ?
I only succeed with copy/past command.
Should I have to use template and filters to do this ?
Is there someone have some examples ?
Thanks

What exactly do you mean about this?
And what do you expect from the reference?

In text you have in EA, you can add a link within the text to any element, including diagrams.

I would like to insert a diagram into a document without using the cut/paste because
I want my document updated when the EA model had been updated!

What is a document for you?
E.g. just a MS-Word file you edit manually or a WS-Word file you generated from EA or a ...????

Well, when I need a document I do entirely generate that from EA, so I have no experience about that, but maybe this can help you: http://www.sparxsystems.com/products/mdg/int/office/office-integration.html

I think you should look into the standard document generation facilities, or look at eaDocX.
The latter has a refresh, whereas with the first you have to generate the whole document from scratch again.
