BPMN Template Elements don't honour the element size
« on: November 25, 2016, 04:31:25 am »
Version 13.  I have set the style attributes on a BPMN activity element in a template package and also resized the element.   When a new BPMN activity is added to a diagram,  EA picks up the style OK, but the default old size of the element seems to dominate.   I see a quick flash where the revised template element dimensions appear, but they immediately disappear to be replaced with the default much smaller size.   I assume this is because BPMN's origins in EA is as an MDG addin, although it is now delivered as standard by default with EA.

Would you call this a bug?  Is it even fixable?

Hi Graham,

It seems to be a generic MDG problem.  I've seen and complained about it in other posts.  If you use Browser Add Element...  You'll get a different outcome to dragging off the toolbar.  You can even set the value in the shape script and it will be overridden - as you note, having first "teasingly" displayed the "correct" shape.  It's a bug, ...

Thanks Paolo.  I'm sure you've reported it, but I will too.

Reported with the reply from Sparx of "This has been confirmed to be fixed in a future build."
