EA 13.0.1309 CTD when working with diagrams
« on: February 23, 2017, 10:56:03 pm »
Hi,

everytime I use EA, go to the diagram (logical view, but it happens on others as well), I get CTD when I do one of these operations:
  • just select the diagram
  • select something in the toolbox
  • select something in the toolbox and place it to the diagram
  • select something in the diagram

I've tried to reinstall EA with no luck. It keeps crashing consistently. I attach crash dialog.
Windows 7 Pro 64bit, latest updates, EA 13.0.1309

Any help would be appreciated. As of now, EA is unusable.

Thanks

I can view the first without issues. Check Extension/Manage Add-ins... and see what voodoo might cause your issues.

Hi there, you pointed in the right direction. I've checked addins and found out two of them, both in an error. One of them was supposed to load on startup, which obviously caused the problems. Once I removed startup loading of this add-in, it works without crashing.

As simple as that. I'll try to get those addins right and try to load them afterwards. For now, turning them off it's just what I need to be able to work with EA.

Thank you for heads up
Daniel

Check the registry. This is probably caused by a value in the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE both should have "(value not set)"
