Add-in deployment in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
« on: September 29, 2011, 09:19:28 pm »
I've read in the v9.x "release note"s and "help file" that now it's supported to deploy an Add-In in the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" registry key to make it available for all users, but I can't make it work. I created the key "Software\Sparx Systems\EAAddins\xxx" key and logging with another user the Add-in isn't available.

Is there any way to make an add-in available for all users?

We have the simple policy: if you want to use EA you need to add the following .reg-file ...

Hmm, I moved the registry settings for my addins to the HK_LOCAL_MACHINE, but I never actually tested if this works for all users, I sort of assumed it would  :-/
