Profile default settings ?

Dear Experts,

Is there a way of setting a custom profile as the default for a specific EA project?

We have a profile which is installed under Resources | UML Profiles.

The problem is that each time an artefact is to be given a stereotype, the profile must be selected by using the profile drop-down selection window.
It would be easier for our project users if our custom profile would appear as default selection rather than an empty window. This is one additional step which leads to the selection of the wrong stereotypes and leads to model inconsistencies.

Is it possible to set a default profile ?

Yes, you simply can set the toolbox from the More Tools option above the pane.

Yes thanks for this. My problem is the selection of stereotypes for existing elements:

1. Select element
2. Open properties
3. Select stereotypes
4. Select profile from window
5. Select stereotype check box

It would be more user-friendly if 4. above would immediately show the relevant profile rather than having to select it. Self selection means that the user can select the wrong profile. Hence, I was hoping that there may be a way of setting the profile as default.

It rather looks like you don't have a MDG which connects a diagram with a certain toolbox but using just simple profiles. Am I right?

Sorry for the delay in replying, just back from holiday.

Actually we have both possibilities. So it may be a case of just knowing how to approach this issue correctly.
If I used the MDG approach to profiles, how would this change things?
Can I set default profiles then?
And if so how?

If you just import a profile you don't have a MDG and thus no toolbox. You need to create a MDG and make that available.
