How to add parameters to a Constraint Block, and display them on a PAR diagram?

To be clear, I'm trying to reproduce the first 3 diagrams under the Connected Constraint Properties of this webpage:

I'm having trouble:
1) Adding actual Parameters to the constraint block, that will display in the BDD as such (I don't even see the option to display a Parameters compartment)
2) Adding Parameter Symbols (boxes on the Constraint Property frames) within the PAR diagram (this is possibly due to my failure in #1)

Could anyone point me to clear directions on this part of the process?
