MDG Link for DOORS - still supported?

Is this add-in still supported?

I downloaded and installed it, but got an ActiveX error when it tried to fire up.  Using EA 9.1, DOORS 8.2

An ActiveX error when attempting to connect typically indicates that the add-in was unable to create the necessary DOORS ActiveX objects.  Can you confirm that the EA, MDG Link and the DOORS client are all installed locally on your machine and not running via virtualization?

First part, yes the EA, MDG Link and the DOORS client are all installed locally on my machine. Second part regarding virtualization, it's not a virtual machine but I do use Windows 7 on a dual boot system, and this configuration boots from a virtual hard disk (.vhd) file - would that affect it?

I've tried it on a colleagues machine with Windows XP with same versions of EA and DOORS client and that works so does appear to be some aspect of my configuration.

Hi Adrian and Sparx -

I'm also having issues w/the DOORs plugin. I'm using DOORs v9.3, but I can't get EA (9.1.908) to connect to DOORS to import requirements. It says it connects, but when I try to import, it gives an error.

My support ticket is #11091152, and I've enquired after I entered the ticket, but have had no resolution.

As above - Using EA 9.1, DOORS 8.2. Never got it to work on my PC though so lost interest and went back to CSV export/import.

I think Sparx need to refresh this offering.

I had searched for the DOORs key word, found just the one response from Sparx, and didn't expand it before I responded. After I posted, I saw your original post. Me<--Duh.

Well, it worked (last tested half a year ago or so). But writing an add-in was quite easy and much more flexible.
