File links within generated documents

When editing in the properties dialog of a package, I can create a hyperlink to a file. Although this hyperlink works within EA, it is a broken link in the generated DOCX and PDF document (using the standard model report template). It seems that all the space-characters have been removed from the hyperlink.

I can create a working hyperlink if it is to a file in a path by replacing the spaces with underscores, but this is not a desirable workaround for all files. The other option that works is to create RTF instead of DOCX, but that still does not solve the PDF.

How do I create a file link that works in DOCX and PDF?
