MDG Eclipse Integration

Hello,

My first post on this forum!  I very much like EA and have been using it for a while now. Decided to work with MDG Integration, specifically Eclipse.
I am using Eclipse (Oxygen-32bit) and EA 13.5.  I finally got part of the MDG Integration-Eclipse to work, i.e., within EA I can connect to an Eclipse project, Merge with Eclipse, Build and Run etc. 

My issue is… when in Eclipse I select the EA top level menu and then select submenu either "EA Project Explorer" or "MDG Options" - I get an error dialog. 
The dialog title - “MDG Integration Error"   
The dialog message - "Error initializing resources"

I have trolled the internet and this forum for some/any clue, found nothing, Anyone have any ideas about this - "Error initializing resources" - and possible remedy?

Hi,

As far as I know, MDG Integration Eclipse works on Eclipse 4.4 or earlier. I know that Eclipse 4.5 or 4.6 show the error and there is no workaround.

Thanks again, I try 4.4.  Do you have any info from Sparx about continuing this capability?

I'm using 64-bit Eclipse 4.8 on Ubuntu and EA under PlayForLinux. EA runs just fine. But I can't get the Eclipse link to work. I was able to find the jar files and copy them to the Eclipse plugin folder, but they never show up in the plugins list in Eclipse. I found a post saying that the Eclipse MDG only works with 32-bit Eclipse. I tried to install a 32-bit Eclipse, but that failed miserably as well. Found a couple of recent posts about needing to install i386 arch, and ia32 libs. No ia32 libs to be found.

Also the instructions for setting up the Eclipse options in EA are extremely vague. I had no problem pointing to the native Ubuntu Eclipse, but EA claimed that it could not start it. And exactly what is Path and the drive letter supposed to point to? I can't tell if it's supposed to point to the Eclipse binary, or the EA model? The browser button to point to the Eclipse executable found Z:/home/paulo just fine.
