Visual filters for diagrams in generated documentation
« on: May 28, 2018, 07:12:50 pm »
Hi,

I use element keywords and visual filters to define feature sets that define the scope of my product.
This works fine when working inside EA: Select a feature set and all non-matching elements
are not visible.
Now I need to generate documentation for differents feature sets. Is there any way to store
a selection of visual filters with the document template?
I thought I could use the element filters in the "generate documentation" of "template options" dialogs,
but those do not seem to apply to diagram contents. Diagrams always appear unfiltered in the generated
document, although the actual elements that are eliminated by the element filters are not listed in the document.

Is there a bug or do I miss something?

Thanks in advance!

Nizam

VIsual filters and other tools are for dynamic analysis of the model for due diligence.

If you are expecting them in static printed documents, you can try to create separate diagrams with the filtered result set. you can exclude the full diagram from being published too (if that's what you want)
