I have the feeling that the GUI designers at Sparx are hired from Sirius Cybernetics Co. Let's hope the revolution will come soon.

Sure. I didn't want to use that sentence with the wall directly since there are so many people that don't understand black humor.

Simon, you said "So, what you are complaining about was exactly what that UI re-work was intended to improve.". Wow, maybe a little bit rude as a comment for a Sparx team member...I am only trying to give my opinion to improve this very great product. The rest of the chat has shown I had some points here.... You have the choice to listen to your customers or not to improve the product. It made sense in 13.5 or before to have everything together. We have spent many years working like that and it would be surprising that you expect everyone to immediately embrace the changes you have made in 14. As you said yourself, now it is spread over 3 different windows.  It is quite possible I have not grasp yet the full benefit of this dramatic UI change. However, would it be possible to offer alternatives ?  Best regards

Eve

Jules, my comment wasn't intended to be offensive in any way.

I acknowledge that the attribute list, attribute properties and attribute notes were previously all in the one dialog. EA 14 is a little different, you can edit the properties and notes for attributes in the same windows that you can edit the properties and notes for anything.  So, you can select an attribute in the project browser, diagram or the attribute list and edit it in the same place you would edit a class. You'll also get a number of extended dialogs depending on the type. That unification of where to look was the intended improvement.

Having said all of that, as discussed already in this thread, version 14.1 offers an option to access the old dialog. So there's your alternative.

I'm slowly getting my head around EA 14 Menus, and I'd have to say that I'm growing to like it.
I approve of the simplifcation of context menus, and in ribbon improvements.
If the Find Command dialogue could actually show you which ribbon and pane the command was on that would be a winner.
Orthogonality rules
Position and Team disestablished, thanks austerity.
Now itinerant.
