Problem upgrading from EA13.5 to EA14
« on: July 22, 2018, 10:55:30 am »
I'm running EA13.5 build 1352 Desktop edition in Windows 10.

Tonight I tried upgrading to EA14 and ran into problems with the license manager. It did not accept my license and would not start EA. I was able to uninstall 14 and re-install 13.5 with no problems.

After re-reading the installation instructions and license information I'm still not sure what the problem is. I suspect that it has something to do with the desktop version (I bought a copy of EA for my personal use and education) instead of Professional, but there's nothing in the documentation or online that suggests this is the case.  It's just a hunch on my part.

Does anybody have any ideas what the problem might be or what I can do to troubleshoot?

Thank you for your time,

Chuck

The Desktop edition no longer exists. Contact sales for a free* upgrade to the professional edition.
