AWS, Azure, GCP icons
« on: February 02, 2019, 01:54:24 am »
Hello All,
This is a request rather than a question. We are interested in having all AWS and Azure icons created as shape scripts. Similar to what exists on draw.io. I know this forum has many examples on how to create shape scripts, but we don't have the time or the resources to pursue it. We are interested in doing a paid engagement where someone can create these for us. I thought this might be a good place to ask. Will anyone be interested?
Thank you

Hi,

I've done a fair deal of shapescript development, and I still have some time available in the next coming weeks/months.
You can contact me on [email protected]

We just import the icons and use alternative images to represent the icons rather the write shapescripts. You can create and MDG to create a suite of toolboxes with the icons too.
Happy to help

Hello,

Is it possible to have a download link to receive the icons of azure and to use them in Sparx ?

Thanks in advance for the response.

Best regards.

In version 15 beta the Google Cloud and AWS icons are available. Check this video explaining how to use the AWS icons: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qYFBvQ4g8Fg

You can download the icons here https://buildazure.com/2017/08/22/microsoft-azure-icon-set-download/ but you have to import them as images and then use them in your elements as alternate image. Or you can make your own profile.

I have a copy of the azure images imported into EA as a Package of Image Artifacts.

It's a little time consuming to make because I had to drag each directory of images into a diagram separately, then used a simple script to remove the extension from the artifact name.

If you email support I don't see any issue in providing the XMI to you.

Are these images available in another format?

I don't think SPARX EA allows the import of .svg files as far as I know.

Thanks,
