SysML Import from MagicDraw
« on: February 21, 2019, 12:03:42 pm »
Hello,

I am trying to do a transfer from a MagicDraw SysML model into Sparx EA. However, all of my translation efforts result in my BDDs being transferred over into Class Diagrams, not BDDs. I have tried this both by importing the mdzip file and also by exporting the MagicDraw model into an xml or xmi document and then importing them in, but nothing has worked. Is there a good solution for this?

Probably not out of the box.

We had to do write a program to do bunch of corrections after migrating an magicdraw model to EA, and we were only doing UML stuff.
So, yes, it is possible if you really want/need it, but it's going to require a serious effort. If the transferred model is not too big you might be better off recreating everything manually.
