Newbie question concerning process map
« on: April 16, 2019, 07:36:58 pm »
Hello,

I have just started using Sparx in my role as Enterprise Architect and I got a question where I cant find an answer in the documentation.

My current task is to map Capabilities or Applications against our process map. For this I want to model the high level process map and the define the dependencies against the other components.

But I cannot find a classic process object in the tool Box. I am looking for something which paints a classic process Arrow on the Diagramms.
I have seen pictures in the net (for instance
https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEwiU6seqp9ThAhWnsKQKHdT_APQQjRx6BAgBEAU&url=https%3A%2F%2Fsparxsystems.com%2Fplatforms%2Fbusiness_process_modeling.html&psig=AOvVaw0K295oj9SE9jauEBqb7Du3&ust=1555493590081803 )
but I cannot replicate them in my instance.

I have EA 14 with a professional Licence currently.

That picture appears to be an analysis diagram, which you will find under "Extended".

Kulko if you can't find a diagram type look up "MDG" in the user manual and enable the appropriate MDG, then you should see it!  You can try several MDGs until you find the diagrams an toolboxes you need.

Thanks. That helped a lot because I don't think I saw the extended branch before while looking for diagramms
