Yes, we use all of those in our Shapescripts.  I was after Text Rotation which would be REALLY useful in our presentation diagrams.

You can drop an Image Artifact from the Project Browser to create either a full image, or an element with an image icon.

For some reasons this is causing a EA_Get_MenuItems COM exception in our Addin when trying to get the context menu of the created object

Moving on perhaps from the name-of-the-thing to the-thing, this seems like a really useful feature. We constantly need overview or summary diagrams, and this is a quick & simple way of creating them.
Ok, still not exactly Visio, but, as my Day said, compare yourself with the best, not the worst.

I wish your dad had a word with Sparx as long as it was time. IIRC it had been Paolo suggesting to steal from the best (or something along that lines; it was someone in the past saying that originally) a long time ago.

Not sure if it was me, but I AM taken by the quote/aphorism "Mediocre artists copy, great artists steal!".

I think the minimum we should expect is that (almost) anything that EA can do internally should be exposed to us users.

Having one API for both internal and external use MUST cut support/development costs.
