Display Attributes in Compartment
« on: July 26, 2019, 10:21:39 pm »
Greetings,

Using EA v14 to develop an ArchiMate model. When I add attributes to an element, they do not dislplay on the diagram, even though the Attributes box is checked on the Compartment Visiablity window.

How do I display the attribute on the diagram?

Thank you.

I guess that (assuming you're using an Archimate element) there's a shape script suppressing it. Not knowing Archimate but I seem to remember that they designed it the way to NOT show certain things.

The ArchiMate notation does not include compartments, so the shape script does not display them.

The ArchiMate notation does not include compartments, so the shape script does not display them.
Indeed, I have not read the full specification but I don't think there is a single Element in the ArchiMate meta-model capable of supporting compartments (for data attributes or operations).

As a result, ArchiMate may not be the most suitable notation for class or database, indeed, modelling.
