Information Engineering Crow's feet
« on: September 09, 2019, 11:21:08 am »
Hi there,

I am trying to display a diagram in EA using the Information Engineering notation in a similar way to Erwin i.e. crow's feet. I can't seem to get this working however.

Does anyone know how to do this ans what type of diagram should I use?

Thanks,
Rupert

Right click on the diagram background and select the 'Properties' option, then click on the 'Connectors' tab. In the 'Connector_Notation' field click on the drop down arrow and select 'Information Engineering'.

Does that help? You can set this on diagrams of any type. I believe.
Best Regards, Roy

Hi Rupert,

As Roy says, it is ALSO a function of the Diagram Connector display mechanism.  <context Menu> | Properties | Connectors | Connector Notation.  But in addition, there may be shape scripts involved which override the diagram notation.  For example, in our technology, ALL (simple) associations are represented as "crows-feet" and so our shapescripts explicitly draw them regardless of the diagram type.
