v15.0.1508 - Publishing package as UML profile

Just started to test the various components of an MDG profile created in V13 with v15 and hit a problem at the first step: Publishing a package as UML profile (I am assuming this the same as saving/exporting and package as UML profile, an option I can no longer find).

I am getting various errors when importing the profile, the latest reads: "An error occurred while attempting to communicate with an Addin: EA Imvertor [....]". The end result is partially imported profile.

If you're moving from v13, you're probably being hit by the cut down from the context menus that used to hold everything and the kitchen sink. The export is available in the ribbon at:
Specialize > Technologies > Publish-Tech > Publish Package as UML Profile.

I'm not aware of any compatibility issues between EA 15 and other versions, but it's possible. I'd try to disable EA Imverter and try again. I don't know much about it, but from a quick web search the author is around here frequently.

I'm the author of the add-in EA Imvertor.
This particular add-in is used by a number of Dutch organisations and I strongly doubt it is in anyway useful for anyone else.

So the best thing would be either disable this add-in, or to uninstall it (if you restart the EA Toolpack installer you can choose for modify and then unselect the add-ins you don't use)

Not sure if that is going to solve the problems you are having, but the EA Imvertor specific error should go away.

Isn't this add used by the EA Message Composer add-in or some of the other tools that are bundled/used to be bundled with it?

It's one of the add-ins in the EA Toolpack, like the EA Message Composer, but they are completely independent from each other.
