Profile stereotype tagged values
« on: October 10, 2019, 12:19:50 pm »
Hi,

I am trying to add tagged values to a stereotype in a Profile.

I have added the tagged value as an attribute and assigned an enumeration to it and renamed the attribute type as the name of the enumeration.
However, the tagged value is not being displayed for the stereotype when I import it as an MDG into another model.

Does anyone have an example of this working?

Thanks,
Rupert

Hey fellow Kiwi ;-)

I have an example (see link below), but I warn you that this is my "play pit" project that I am using. So it is pretty ugly in there.
Truth is I used to be pretty handy with MDGs about 4 years ago, but now I am on a learning curve again - hence the play pit.

However, if you look at the files, there is a Stereotype called Solution  which has an enumerated tagged value called Element Status.

I have included the eap file, all the profile files generated from it and the overall MDG technology file.

Let me know if you have any problems.

Cheers

Jays :-)

Rupert,

Have you tried using the profile helper to add the tagged value?

Renaming the type of the attribute to that of the enumeration is not the same as actually selecting the enumeration as the type of the attribute.

Hi Geert,

Yes I have tried the Profile Helper.

It doesn't look like there is a way to add attributes to an element in a Profile. You can add them as tagged values in a Profile but they appear in their own menu for the element which is in a model with the applied profile.
It's not the end of the world, just a little bit confusing.

thanks,
Rupert
