Archimate Model validation.
« on: November 20, 2019, 12:30:32 am »
Hi,

We are considering using the EAValidator to validate Archimate models. We have created some simple rules and are happy enough so far. Rather than re-invent the wheel, i thought to check in to see if the community has are any rulesets that can be shared, or best practices/advice for using EAValidator in their modelling process.

I haven't written any ArchiMate rules myself yet.

I you have some generic rules that work for you, I would be happy to add them to the github repository and into the next release.

Just be aware that validating a model will only tell you if it is syntactically correct.  Your views could still be semantically void.

I had not considered trying to unit test the semantics of an EA model. Maybe the BPMN supports that  :P
