Shape For Connector / Continuation
« on: November 27, 2019, 02:40:26 am »
Hi,

In the activity diagram linked below there are two squares "A" for "order rejected" that look like a connector symbol.  What is this symbol?  I can't tell from browsing the UML Activity toolbox.

https://sparxsystems.com/resources/tutorials/uml2/activity-diagram.html

Thanks in advance,
Carl

Connector continuation points. IIRC you can split a connector from the context menu. Not using that, so out of my head...

P.S. Just had a look and could not figure out any more how that was created :-/

P.P.S

Bend the connector at 2 points. Now the middle section has a context menu entry Hide Line Segment.

Thanks.  That's exactly it.

Is there a way to use have multiple participants use the same connector symbol?  I'm thinking of something like a BPMN Link Event where a number of decisions can throw out to a single point.  What I'm trying to do is avoid drawing control lines from multiple places into a single decision.

Thanks

IIRC NO.  There are, in addition, many issues around these symbols.  Search for posts by me on the subject.
