TFS Integration with VS MDG version 4.5

Couple of questions

The information regarding this MDG state

[highlight]providing significant interoperability enhancements for Microsoft's Team Foundation Server.[/highlight]

However all the documentation I have (either Help menu) or PDF user guide provides minimal or non-existent information in this area.

I would expect to be able to connect to a TFS serrver without connecting a VS solution, since all I wish to do is integrated Work / Task items etc ... however I cannot discover how to do this or even it is possible!

I am using the latest version of the MDG, version 4.5.1

Any advice would be most appreciated

Hello

We have an unsolved problem with TFS and VS 2010 with EA. ( See http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1323858234)

We cant get anything under the EA Explorer/TFS menu to work, the studie dies! (TSF/EA and VS2010/TFS version management works as marketed, but not the MDG Integration)

The forum has also been rater silent about how and if they have got TFS/EA/VS2010 (or we are doing something so stupid that nobody bothers to answer:-) to work. (http://www.sparxsystems.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?num=1331618565/0#2)

SparxSystem says it has something to do with MDG 4.5. We have been waiting for a fix for a, well to long soon, time but no news yet. Of course could be that we are doing something really wrong, but we have run it on a lot of different machines without success.

Are you running on a standard machine/server, AD-based, 32/64bit and so on??? Any special tricks you did to make it work, please tell so we can try some new approch:-) We can not get it to work according to the homepage/doc and the info they have there seems to for VS2008!

Some (good) update:

We got a notice from Sparx Systemt (1.8.2012) that they have been able to replicate the problem and that they are working on it.

Hopefully there will soon be a solution to this.
