Stereotype manipulation
« on: February 18, 2020, 09:05:34 pm »
Hello,
i created a SysmL Block Element. After adding this block to an bdd Diagramm, I double clicked on it and changed manually the stereotype to <<Software>> by typing.

After changing the stereotype, i am not able to Aggregate / Composite it to the "Whole". I can only click on the Whole and aggregate to this Element.

Should I add stereotypes somewhere else?

Thanks for your support again.

When you changed the stereotype you removed the block stereotype. As a result the quicklinker is no longer offering the rules for Block.

You can either add Software as a second stereotype or create a new stereotype extending block and apply that. [See Create Stereotypes Extending non-UML Objects

Also, because you mentioned that you typed Software, I'll say that the stereotype handling in EA 15 and 15.1 is improved from the version you're using. In those versions you wouldn't have made the mistake you did because you need to explicitly uncheck Block, while new stereotypes need to be explicitly created instead of creating a new one for every typo.
