Rotate Images scales images incorrectly
« on: March 06, 2020, 03:53:04 am »
Hi all,

If you select Rotate Images in a diagram's properties, and then generate a document (eg Diagram Report), and if the source diagram is too wide (ie the rotated image too high) to fit on one page, EA screws up the scaling so the bottom of the image ends up off the bottom of the page.

I think there are two problems here.

Firstly, EA does not honour page margins. If I copy the offending image into a blank Word document, Word ensures that the image is anchored at the top of the usable area (ie below the top margin), but the image as scaled by EA runs right past the bottom margin and ends juuuust short of the bottom of the page.

Secondly, EA ignores page headers (and presumably footers, but I haven't tested that). When the page has a header the usable area is further reduced, but EA doesn't realize this so when it thinks it's "only" blowing past the bottom margin it's actually pushing the bottom of the image out past the bottom of the page -- I assume by the same amount as the margin height, but I haven't verified this.

This is on 15.0.1512, and I'm generating to A4.
