Display attributes / tags on diagram

Dear EA Gurus,

I am dealing with a request of my colleagues, that they need to see Attributes or Tags next to the element in the diagram.
Is it possible to place this information directly on the diagram ?
Of course these information is changing quite often , so it should be dynamic and change accordingly.

Depends. You can use on-board EA switches from the diagram properties/Elements. Alternatively you can place notes on the diagram and link them to elements. On the context menu of the note link you find Link to Element Feature which offers a couple of possibilities. Finally, if you have stereotyped elements you can use shape scripts to define what shall be shown. That's the most flexible way but needs a bit of overhead work.

I am not sure if I understand you correctly. Here is the use case:

I would like to see in the note, the TAG Value .

You need to open the context menu of the note link.

Strange they don't show a screenshot of the context menu and use a lengthy scenario description instead. Probably becase the UI changes faster than one could document it :-/

Ok, thanks. I found it now. For tag values it works nicely. I can display one or more Tags in the note.
For Attributes I found only options to show one specific atribute and not more.

Attributes can be shown in the element compartment itself. Use Features/Visbility. You can also show (all) tags here and with Custom you can show individual attributes.
