Hi,

I have an Archimate MDG with a stereotyped association that can be created from a stereotyped Archimate Node to a stereotyped Application Component.
In the stereotyped association definition, I set the default direction to be unspecified.
I set metaconstraints and quicklinker rules (using the new relationships) so users can only create such association from the Node to the Application

When I created the association from the Application to the node, or vice versa, the association is properly set from the Node to the Application with the Direction set to unspecified. The issue I have is that a user has the exact same EAP file with the same EA build (1528), and when he creates the association from the Component to the Node, the direction is set to Source to Target (from Node to Component, he gets the unspecified direction as expected).

I tried to look at EA Preferences (links) but they match.

I can't figure out why we don't have the same behaviour.

Any difference in the add-ins they are running?

I think one of these EA-Matic link style scripts I wrote used to mess up the direction somehow.

My client doesn't have any addin installed and I don't have eaMatic currently enabled on mine.

The deployed MDG might be different. Check what is in the MDG path and what is imported in the ressources.

I once had a user that copied the custom ArchiMate mdg file I'd created from a shared location to a private one and then pointed their Sparx EA to that. Needless to say when I updated it to enhance and fix things they didn't get the same as everyone else then complained about it. They soon shut up when I said they had caused the problem themselves through their own stupidity.

Definitely worth checking what Qwerty says.
